Our allergy team combines everyday general practice with extra training in allergy medicine, so you get careful assessment, clear explanations and a plan that fits your life, close to home in Launceston.
Allergy practice
Dr Singh co-leads Allergy Services @ Vida Medical, seeing adults and children from across Tasmania with food allergy, hay fever and sinus problems, eczema, hives (urticaria) and related conditions. She offers skin prick testing, patch testing, oral food challenges and allergen immunotherapy, from first assessment through to long-term management.
General practice
A versatile doctor with over 20 years of medical experience, Dr Singh also cares for patients across all areas of general practice, with interests in women's health, mental health, lifestyle medicine, chronic disease management and metabolic health. Her background in general pathology gives her a strong grounding in immunology and laboratory science.
Beyond the clinic
Deeply empathetic and culturally aware, she believes in individualised care and in creating a welcoming, inclusive clinic. She is passionate about improving how healthcare is delivered, including the thoughtful use of digital health and AI, and is actively involved in medical education and research. Outside the clinic, she loves to paint, write poetry, choreograph, read philosophy and take on interior design projects — and she's the unofficial fashion consultant to her friends.

Allergy practice
Dr Preeti Deshpande is a Launceston GP with a special interest in allergy medicine and co-leads Allergy Services @ Vida Medical. She has extensive experience in skin prick testing for hay fever and allergic rhinitis, and allergen immunotherapy (desensitisation), helping patients understand their triggers and find personalised and practical ways to manage their symptoms.
General practice
Having called Launceston home since 2006, Dr Deshpande has cared for the local community for over 20 years. After six years working across a range of departments at Launceston General Hospital, she moved into general practice in 2013, where she enjoys caring for patients of all ages and across all areas of general health.
Apart from English, Dr Deshpande is fluent in Hindi and Kannada. She is known for her compassionate, thoughtful and personalised approach, taking time to listen and explain things clearly to involve her patients in decisions about their health. She particularly values the long-term human relationships that make general practice so rewarding.
Beyond the clinic
Outside the clinic, she enjoys music and singing, spending time with family and friends, hiking and exploring new places, as well as organising community events and adding a little colour and warmth to everyday life. Mindfulness and spirituality help Dr Preeti maintain balance and perspective.
Proud to call Tasmania home, Dr Deshpande warmly welcomes new patients and looks forward to being part of their health journey.
